Each skull originated from digitally accurate 3D scans. The topology of the scanned mesh was regridded into squares for your coloring and drawing creations.
The book features wireframes of 100 skull designs on a full 8.5" x 8.5" page.
Chris, Matt, and Jason have been long time friends and co-workers. Together we have designed the Makerbot store and other projects. Its an honor to be working with them on a new project again.

We created this project as a way to understanding complex geometry by simplifying 3D forms onto paper. By drawing and coloring on the 2D gridded structures, one can begin to comprehend the nature of the patterns.
By becoming familiar with the mathematical approach that created the forms, we hope that it will inspire you to use these patterns as a technique for future design and art.
